If you look at my before/after photo after following this technique to a tee, you can see how big a role my eyelashes play.
The longer and thicker eyelashes you have, the more the appearance of droopy eyelids & hooded eyes is reduced.
Which brings us to the first tip:
Tip #1: Open your eyes by focusing on your eyelashes
I have never had really long & thick eyelashes. I was used to writing it off to my genetics.
But after I started doing my research of finding the best ways to combat my hooded eyes, I understood the importance of having long & thick eyelashes.
And it wasn't just my droopy eyelids. After going through menopause, my lashes had become much thinner & sparser.
You see, our eyelashes start to grow slower and get thinner due to a drop in estrogen and progesterone levels.
So the truth is that our body can’t grow and sustain thick and long eyelashes by itself anymore – it needs all the help it can get.
Which is why just using regular mascara is not enough.
I've been a mascara junkie all my life but recently this changed when I tried eyelash products from Rumi Cosmetiques: VolumeCare+ Mascara & LashCare+ Eyelash Serum.
Not only both of these products are filled with peptides and active ingredients to nourish & make your eyelashes longer and thicker-looking but they are specifically designed for women over 50 and take into account things like eye sensitivity & droopy eyelids.
I apply LashCare+ Serum every night before I go to bed & I use VolumeCare+ Mascara everyday when I leave the house.
And it's not just the active ingredients in both of these products. VolumeCare+ Mascara really is the best one I've found for sensitive eyes & thinning lashes. It's actually transfer-proof so it won't smudge due to your eyelids or eye watering.
These two products made me realize that I was wrong to blame my genetics and that I'm also able to have long & thick lashes even after 50. And on a side note, none of these products irritate my sensitive eyes.
So if you're really serious about lifting your eyes & reducing your appearance of droopy eyelids, I highly suggest you to invest in Rumi's Lash Duo Set: it's totally worth it!
